Josh Brown (b.1994)

Artist Biography

Josh Brown is a photographer and printmaker, whose passion for film comes through in his art. His body of work includes poster designs for some of his favourite films and photography of architecture.

 

In 2020 Josh completed a six week Cultural Enrichment Programme placement with The Whitworth, which resulted in him continuing to work with the gallery in their shop.

“I love making art, it makes me feel happy. My art is about movies and places… I like taking pictures and seeing what they look like. Printmaking is my favourite, very good, I like the colours and textures.”

 

In 2022 Josh is currently working on a piece exploring his family history, in which he is drawing family members.
