Amy Ellison | My Portrait Project | World Downs Syndrome Awareness Day 2018

Portrait Project | by Amy Ellison

Today is World Downs Syndrome Awareness Day 2018.

To celebrate World Downs Syndrome Awareness Day we would like to share a project by one of Venture Arts’ super talented photographers.

My Portrait Project is a photographic project by Amy Ellison. Amy advertised for models with downs syndrome to get involved with her project and pose for her to help her develop her portraiture skills. We think she’s a natural! These portraits include people who have downs syndrome and their families.

Amy talked to us about her work:

I like taking photos, using nice light and colours, people’s faces. This is my work in the exhibition. Martin helped me edit the photos in photoshop. I made it. I want to sell them. Different families, I like kids me. These photos are my favourite.

See them close up this Friday at our private view for HEY CLLAY PRRIVATE VIEW exhibition 6-8PM this Friday.

EXHIBITION DATES | 23 March – 31 May 2018

PLEASE NOTE | View by appointment only.

(Amy is available for photographic commissions).
