THIS IS HUMAN
This distinctive and ambitious series of events will challenge your expectations of HOME through a programme of unique and unusual happenings in our galleries, cinemas and theatres through the month of August.
Taking inspiration from the brain and the four main areas controlling emotion, movement, biological rhythm and sense, this innovative project will combine sensory installations, live performances, interactive experiences and celebrations.
This is a fresh approach to experiencing art, curated, produced and commissioned by a group of 11 of Manchester’s emerging creatives, a collective formed through HOME’s Project X, featuring work from local artists and community groups. – Home, Manchester.

Venture Arts artist and Project X artist Dominic Bennett designed new interactive video game, Weasel Nation, that he designed and developed with Patrick Farrell during his place on HOMEmcr‘s Project X programme. He also had some help from his friends and fellow artists at our studios who feature as the voices of the superheroes!
Project X is a brand new project here at HOME for 18-25 year olds. HOME have brought together a collective of artists from across the city to take part in a year-long residency which will culminate in a large scale, multi disciplinary event in August 2017. More information about Project X here.

The Interactive Game: Weasel Nation
HOMEmcr has been taken over by weasels and the head of the gang, Chief Weasel. Can you beat the weasels to reclaim HOME? This interactive computer game in our foyer has been designed and developed by artists Dominic Bennett and Pat Farrell, in collaboration with a team of participants/super heroes from Venture Arts (Amy Ellison, Danielle Dalton, Deborah Makinde) and brought to life by Olly Venning and Marc Keeling.
The game was available FREE from August 9th – 31st in the foyer area at HOMEmcr.
