Volunteers play a vital role in the work we do here at Venture Arts. Our volunteers help to create a fun, relaxed atmosphere and are key to providing the ongoing service we offer to our artists.
Our volunteers tell us they gain invaluable experience, have a great time and go on to succeed in a variety of careers.

Volunteer
There are several volunteer opportunities here at Venture Arts, mainly supporting our learning disabled artists in producing high quality work. The presence of volunteers in the studio also helps our artists with their communication, social skills, creative skills and their overall wellbeing.
Volunteers also support events and exhibitions and from time-to-time, assist with administrative tasks at reception.
We also welcome applicants who wish to undertake placements as part of their academic programmes.
There’s the chance to meet a huge variety of people; not only the artists, facilitators and staff, but our volunteers here at Venture Arts come from all walks of life.
Volunteers choose to give their time to Venture Arts for many different reasons, whether that be to spend time doing something enjoyable and supporting others in the community, to gain experience in the arts, social care, psychology, education and health, or as part of university placements and volunteering schemes.
“I have been volunteering at Venture Arts for around four years and it has helped me with my confidence… and also in my artwork. From day one… it feels like a family, helping artists develop their skills as well as creating a place where they feel at home.”
