Opportunity: Neurodivergent Creative Practitioners
The project
Creative Approaches to Work: Making Neurodiversity Your Business is an innovative programme exploring how creative practice can help build confidence, develop transferable skills and support neurodivergent young adults as they move closer to employment.
The programme aims to support neurodivergent young adults aged 18–30 to build confidence, recognise their strengths and explore future opportunities. It will also work with employers across Greater Manchester to support more neuroinclusive workplace practices.
The programme has been developed as part of the Greater Manchester Creative Health Place Partnership and is part-funded by Arts Council England.
This opportunity
Venture Arts is seeking eight neurodivergent creative practitioners from Greater Manchester to take part in the Creative Approaches to Work programme.
As part of the programme, practitioners will receive training and support through eight training sessions, taking place across four weeks from October to December 2026. The sessions will focus on developing creative practice, facilitation skills and confidence.
You’ll join a supportive network of practitioners and explore how your creative practice can help participants discover their strengths, build confidence and develop skills that can support them as they move towards employment.
The opportunity is open to neurodivergent creative practitioners aged 18+ who live in Greater Manchester and have some experience of delivering or supporting arts projects, workshops or working with groups. You do not need to be an experienced professional facilitator.
A Participation Support Payment of £1,200 will be available to each creative practitioner taking part in the programme.
