We are never short of pride at Venture Arts when it comes to how we feel about our Artists, but this month our chests are inflating even further...   Sally sat on her recumbent bike cycling down a tarmac path.   Textile Artist Sally, has been slowly building her strength and stamina so that she can cycle further and for longer on her recumbent bike. Why? So she can take on the national 2.6 Challenge! She has set herself the challenge to cycle 2.6 miles for 26 Days to fundraise for Venture Arts.   This is not a simple challenge for Sally as she has a heart condition (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome), which causes chronic fatigue and fainting. Despite her condition Sally is now on Day 7! This is a huge challenge and we are behind Sally every step of the way (not literally of course!).   We have been in regular contact with Sally at home and she told us,
"I wanted to do it because Venture Arts have given me so many wonderful opportunities over the last 3 years, and still continue to do so in lock down! I have met so many lovely people and made great friends through Venture Arts. This is going to be really hard but I'm enjoying the challenge!".
You can donate to Sally's fundraising page here. As we publish this she has raised over £300! If you can, please help us get to her target of £500 - small donations are much appreciated and all add up!   #TwoPointSixChallenge   https://www.twopointsixchallenge.co.uk/
