We celebrate the many achievements of our community all year round, but this week even more so!
Learning Disability Week is a national week, organised by Mencap, and the theme this year is the importance of friendships during lockdown. Venture Arts exists to raise the profile of, and create opportunities for, learning disabled artists, but also to tackle the social isolation that so many of them face - and friendship is a huge part of that! Since we have been delivering our art sessions online we've also made sure to provide opportunities for people to have fun together and socialise. We do yoga, discos, dance workshops and sing-alongs, like the one in this photo!
