MMU students create a fashion-meets-art fundraiser for Venture Arts As part of their degree, four Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) second-year Event Management students Ceri Davies, Olivia Padley, Maisie Strong and Shauna de Waard (pictured here:) – otherwise known as Interlace Events – are organising and hosting an exciting new event as a fundraiser for Venture Arts.   The DiverCITY event will boast an array of artwork by Venture Arts artists, accompanied by a fun fashion show and musical interlude. This evening of fashion-meets-art entertainment, prosecco and  nibbles will take place on Friday 27 March 2020 at Manchester School of Art’s impressive Benzie Building, 6 – 8pm.   The students have been collaborating with Venture Arts and students from MMU’s fashion course, including hosting a creative fashion workshop giving Venture Arts artists the chance to design and customise their own t-shirts. The Venture Arts and MMU workshop participants will have the opportunity to enjoy a 'model’s makeover' by Meg Jones, a make-up artist from Grimsby, before taking to the runway together.   As well as spotlighting the charity, the DiverCITY event will also feature live acoustic music to give a platform to other emerging artists, along with stalls selling vintage clothing.   Interlace is encouraging anybody with an enthusiasm for fresh creativity and a fun night out to attend DiverCITY, to help raise funds for Venture Arts.   Sorry - THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED  - due to the Coronavirus. We're sorry for any disappointment caused.
