Our adult studio sessions run morning and afternoon, five days a week, providing time, space and support for artists to develop their arts practice and careers. We work across two vibrant studios, on Old Birley Street in Hulme, Manchester.
During 2025 we are redeveloping our studio space to create the best possible facilities for our artists. Whilst our new studio is under construction, we are unable to offer places on our adult and young people’s programmes to new artists. Please get in touch in October 2025 if you are interested in joining one of our groups.
Studio Programme
The Venture Arts team work to create a nurturing and supporting environment, in which artists can reach their full potential. Individuals follow their own passions and interests, with guidance and support where necessary.
Our facilitators lead the studio sessions, all of whom are professional artists themselves, specialising in a full range of mediums including photography, illustration, animation, ceramics, textiles, printmaking and more. When you join Venture Arts we’ll match you with the most appropriate facilitator for your interests, and many artists work with more than one.
As well as building artistic talents, our artists also build friendships and networks with other artists, in a hugely creative environment. There are also opportunities for artists to take inspirational trips to other venues, exhibitions and events, as well as to take part in partnership projects, residencies and have artwork in exhibitions.
