Barry Finan - Postcard Collection

A collection of three postcards, featuring Barry Finan's distinctive “WRRIGHHTINNGSERRSS” – long, flowing streams of words and phrases that spill across ceramics, paper and sculpture, turning language into something you can see, touch and feel.

In 2024, Barry received the Paul Hamlyn Foundation Award for Artists, a prestigious national award recognising outstanding artists at pivotal stages in their careers.

In 2025 Barry’s first solo exhibition showcased a vibrant new body of work, where Barry’s playful, layered handwriting explored fresh materials and bold colour. Each piece holds fragments of conversation, hope and reflection – inviting visitors to step inside his world of words. This exhibition, held at Moon Grove, marked one of the first major outcomes of the Paul Hamlyn Award, celebrating an artist whose work continues to inspire and evolve.

These postcards were produced alongside prints in A4 and A3, also available for purchase here.

The postcards are A6 size and have been professionally printed on Munken 300gsm paper. There is a white border, with the artwork details printed in the bottom centre. The artwork details are printed on the back, along with the Venture Arts logo, leaving plenty of space for writing.
