Shea Sandback is a young artist working mainly in illustration and animation. In 2024 Shea was nominated for and won the Emerging Talent Award at the Oska Bright Film Festival, taking place in Brighton every year.
In 2022 Shea was also shortlisted for Young Animator of the Year, for his short film, The Absurd Adventures of Rob D. Punarinta. The animation took Shea two months to produce and was screened at HOME, as part of the award ceremony for Manchester Animation Festival.

"My animation process revolves around straight ahead animation while still looking back and trying to keep the proper form of the characters, and mostly relying on held frames, to create a technique that admittedly, I could think of a shorter name for, but I think "straight-ahead trying to look like pose-to-pose" does accurately describe my animation process."
