Light Night Wigan 2026
Venture Arts studio artist Horace Lindezey is bringing a new illuminated twist to his much-loved blue plaques at Light Night Wigan 2026, celebrating the town’s rich history and notable Wiganers.
Known for his playful approach to ceramics, Horace’s distinctive take on traditional commemorative blue plaques celebrates people from, or connected to, Wigan. Developed through research and conversations with local people, the series shines a light on the characters and stories that make the town what it is.
Now, Horace’s blue plaques are taking on a whole new dimension as an illuminated installation outside Wigan Parish Church (All Saints), as part of the festival’s town centre trail.
Now in its sixth year, Light Night Wigan transforms the town with spectacular light installations by artists from across the UK and beyond. The town centre trail is free to explore, with no tickets required.
