Artists
Linda Hemmersbach
Linda collaborated with VA artist Andrew Hylton, exploring shared practices and making new work with Venture Arts Colab programme.
Linda Hemmersbach was born in Cologne, Germany, and is based in the Peak District. She studied at Central Saint Martins and Wimbledon College of Art and makes paintings, drawings, and sculptures in metal and ceramics. Linda’s work is inspired by lived experiences, memories, and sensations. For her, painting is a space for psychological investigations, where subconscious thoughts materialise. She is interested in deep time and the interconnectedness between body, land, and the cosmos, emerging in compositions that blur the distinction between the micro and macro. Linda’s aim is to capture a tangible energy that relates to something primal, elemental, and transient.
