PinchukArtCentre Ukraine: A Good Kind Friendship

Venture Arts artist Liam Ashworth exhibits internationally alongside Kyiv-based artist Artem Oliinyk in A Good Kind Friendship at PinchukArtCentre, one of Ukraine’s leading contemporary art institutions.

The exhibition has grown from a two-week residency at Venture Arts, where Liam and Artem explored Manchester together, visiting cultural spaces, sharing food and making art. Despite speaking different languages, the two artists quickly found common ground through their work.

Named by Artem, A Good Kind Friendship celebrates the creative connection between two artists living more than 1,500 miles apart – and the friendship that brought them together.

Artem Oliinyk’s residency at Venture Arts has been supported by the British Council’s Creative Producers programme.
