Limited Edition Model - Action Figure designed by Leslie Thompson - Joseph Junior Thompson

A replica action figure of Joseph Junior Thompson (Leslie's brother), designed by Leslie Thompson. A full colour printed backing board has been created, covered in an detailed cartoon about the figure, and complete with hanging tag. The main figure is cut from card, attached to a stand, and presented in a plastic box - just like Leslie remembers from his beloved trips to the model shop at Afflecks Palace.

Leslie presented his action figures at his exhibition ‘My New Favourite Shop’, at PAPER Gallery in Manchester.

In Leslie's own words:
"‘My New Favourite Shop’ will be my action figure heroes that I can sell soon in Manchester far away from Hulme, like never before. This new gallery will be with all the action figure drawings from entertainment of show business, a tribute to family members, an old teacher to remember or a famous wild animal. I feel good as a superstar artist drawer drawing the heroes in cartoon.”

Each model is numbered, with just a few remaining of each design. Signed by the artist.
