Delaine Le Bas: Un-Fair-Ground
Two Venture Arts’ artists – Sarah Lee and Leslie Thompson – are delighted to be collaborating with Delaine Le Bas on her latest show, Un-Fair-Ground, happening at The Whitworth from 13 February – 31 May 2026
The exhibition marks Le Bas’s first solo museum show following her Turner Prize nomination in 2024, with the Whitworth’s galleries transformed into a bold mixed-media installation of painting, sculpture and video.
Working alongside Le Bas, Sarah Lee and Leslie Thompson will help shape parts of the exhibition, with new work created collaboratively for display within the gallery spaces. The show turns the museum into a space of magic and play, bringing together more than 20 works from the Whitworth’s collection – from William Blake’s The Ancient of Days to pieces from the Musgrave Kinley Outsider Art Collection – across four immersive environments. Highlights include a large-scale witch house installation, a central performance-style space, and Un-Fair-Ground, a monumental mural first created for Glastonbury Festival in 2024.
There will be a Neurodivergent friendly tour for Neurodiversity Awareness Day with Sally Hirst on Thursday 19 March.
