Parham Ghalamdar

Parham Ghalamdar, born in 1994 in Tehran, Iran, is a painter currently based in Manchester. He obtained his MA degree in oil painting from the Manchester School of Art in 2021. Ghalamdar’s artistic style is a blend of Persian and Western art traditions, infused with inspiration from artificial intelligence and the digital world.

Recently, he held a solo exhibition named “Painting, An Unending” at the main gallery of HOME in Manchester. Throughout his artistic journey, Parham has presented his works at venues such as the Rebecca Hossack Gallery in London, Castlefield Gallery in Manchester, and the Manchester Art Gallery and Whitworth Art Gallery in Manchester. Parham has recently been awarded the UK New Artists bursary 2023, DYCP grant, and Innovative Grant.

Collaborating with Venture Arts provided me with invaluable mentorship and access to essential equipment, enabling me to delve into the captivating world of glazed ceramics. This unique opportunity not only expanded my horizons but also enriched my painting practice with exciting new dimensions. With their guidance and resources, I was able to explore and experiment with this medium, adding a fresh and dynamic layer to my creative journey, which I will continue to build upon in the future.”
