Original Artwork - Limited Edition Screen Print by Beverley Doughty: It's Twins

Beverley Doughty is an artist/printmaker working and living in the Greater Manchester area specialising in producing work that relates to screenprinting processes. She has shown her work in various exhibitions and Art Fairs in the North of England, the Midlands and London. Recent work has been included the Directors Cut Woolwich Print Show, the Small But Mighty Show at the Royal Society of Printmakers Gallery at Bankside in London and the Royal Birmingham Society of Arts Summer Show.

Beverley thoroughly enjoyed the collaboration with the artists and tutors from Venture Arts and her fellow printmakers from Hot Bed Press. She enjoyed helping the artists to translate their fantastic ideas and artwork into print editions and to help them explore new ways of working.

This print is a CMYK four colour screenprint. The original image derives from a decorative panel located in a European church. It forms part of a series of prints based on Putti that have been taken from a dark corner, combined with other decorative elements and altered to make a new image that brings them back into the light. The image is purposely blurred to reflect the passing of time.

There are just 25 prints available, created in partnership with Hot Bed Press. Each print comes with a certificate of authenticity. Proceeds raised from sales of these prints will go towards the purchase of new printmaking equipment for the Venture Arts studio.

The prints are on 300gsm Canaletto professional screen printing paper and measure 40 x 50cm.
