MIF Artist Talk – Neurodiversity, Disability and the Artworld Today
How can we dream differently about who gets seen, heard and celebrated in the art world today?
Join us for Neurodiversity, Disability and the Artworld Today – a powerful panel discussion exploring visibility, opportunity and recognition for neurodivergent and learning-disabled artists.
Hosted by MIF Creative Director, Low Kee Hong, the conversation features Amanda Sutton (Director at Venture Arts), Katherine Long (Head of Creative Development at Venture Arts), Sally Hirst (Venture Arts artist), Darren Pih (Head of Exhibitions & Collections at the Whitworth), Dr Samantha Lackey (Director of Liverpool Biennial) and Christopher Samuel (Artist and Curator).
Together they’ll highlight the importance of inclusive platforms, residencies and awards for neurodivergent and learning-disabled artists. The talk also reflects on the collaboration between Venture Arts, Company Chameleon and Manchester Camerata for the MIF25 project.
