Step into the Performance Space of Delaine Le Bas: Un-Fair-Ground and experience Sarah Lee and Sally Hirst’s art in action. Sarah’s work forms part of the exhibition – this is your chance to see the creative process unfold live.
Everyone is warmly invited to drop in, say hello and discover more about Sarah and Sally’s practice as it unfolds in real time. Taking place in the Performance Space of Delaine Le Bas: Un-Fair-Ground, these live sessions offer a rare opportunity to experience the artists at work inside the gallery.
Sarah’s work is exhibited throughout the run of the show, and these sessions provide a deeper insight into the ideas and processes behind it. Whether you stay for five minutes or the full session, this is a chance to connect directly with the artists and witness creativity in action.

Sarah Lee works across ceramics and textiles, drawing on folklore, music, history and literature to create richly detailed reflections on life and the world around her. She has exhibited at The Lowry, the Manchester Contemporary Art Fair, BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art and the British Textiles Biennial, and her work is currently on display at The Whitworth.
Sally Hirst is a neurodivergent and disabled textile artist, ceramicist and poet based at Venture Arts. She also has a love of history and retelling stories of ordinary people from the past. She is passionate about accessibility, and this is important in her art practice.
