Michael Beard works across various disciplines including painting, illustration and ceramic sculpture. Michael’s artwork enables him to articulate his immense passion for travel. Compulsive writings of names of cities, famous towers and graphical signage and symbols that he identifies in each location, are strong themes in his work. The repetitive overlapping and fluidity of his handwriting conveys Michael’s vigorous energy and the speed in which he creates his work.

The Coffee Cup series is a collection of 25 of Michael's original artworks. Created in acrylic and oil pastel in 2024, each A5 artwork features a mixture of different colours. A selection of the artworks for sale are shown above - for the full list please email finance@venturearts.org.
