Local Artist Print Launch

Join us to celebrate the launch of the Local Artist Print Collection in the Whitworth Shop, which includes ten works by Venture Arts artists.

Earlier this year The Whitworth did an open call out for artists local to Manchester. From that they selected ten local artists to be part of this new collection, along with work from Venture Arts and some other exciting Manchester artists.

As well as a chance to see the new print range and meet the artists, we will also be launching a brand new limited edition book at the event, by artist Horace Lindezey, The Blue Plaques, featuring 40 of his ceramic blue plaques, commemorating important figures in his life who have sadly died. The first run of the book has been limited to 100 copies and Horace will be signing the books on the night. This event is an early launch of this special publication, which won’t be for sale online or anywhere else until later this summer.
